The entities in the Noreco Group may each act as a controller or data processor of the processing described below. The entities are responsible for selected processing activities within their sphere of control and have entered into data processing agreements in order to regulate their rights and obligations in this regard.
Personal data or personal information means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
1. Why we collect your personal data and what data we collect
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, cell phone, tablet etc.) when you visit a web page. Cookies make it possible to collect information about your use of the web page.
Press releases & news letters
If you subscribe to receive news and press releases from us, we will collect and store your e-mail address in order to send you the relevant information.
Such processing is based on your consent, and you can withdraw you consent at any time by unsubscribing from the news releases. You unsubscribe by clicking the designated link in the e-mails you receive from us. If you withdraw your consent to receive press releases from us, we will stop processing your e-mail address for this purpose. Vendors & suppliers
We use a number of vendors and suppliers who provide us with services and support. We collect and store contact information such as names, e-mail addresses, phone numbers and addresses of contact persons representing our vendors and suppliers. We process this information in order to administer and fulfil our contractual relationships to such vendors and suppliers. In some cases, we process such information in order to administer and execute procurement processes.
The legal basis for processing of such data is either that processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation we are subject to, or that the processing is necessary for the purposes of legitimate interests pursued by us. The personal data is processed for as long as necessary in order to administer and fulfil the contractual relationship or procurement process, or as long as required by law. The Noreco Group entity that is related to the contractual relationship or procurement process, will normally be the controller for such processing.
Information about shareholders
Noreco's shares are listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange. The Norwegian Central Securities Depository, Verdipapirsentralen ASA (“VPS”), has a license to operate securities registers in Norway. In order to fulfil the obligations attached to the operation of the securities register, VPS processes information about shareholders and transactions. Contact & other inquiries
If you contact us by using the contact information provided on this website, we will process your contact information and other information that you provide to us in that regard. We will process this information in order to answer your inquiries and provide information to you.
The legal basis for processing of such data is either that processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with you, in order to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, or that the processing is necessary for the purposes of legitimate interests pursued by us. The personal data is processed for as long as necessary in order to answer your inquiry or administer or fulfil a contractual relationship with you. Norwegian Energy Company ASA is the controller for this processing activity.
If you apply for a job with us, we collect information such as name, contact information, picture, video, CV, application, diplomas, statements from references, work permit, and other information that you provide to us in this regard. We process the above mentioned information in order to recruit new employees in a secure manner.
All job applications and information related thereto shall be submitted through our recruitment system which is found under the “Vacancies” tab. Applications and related information received by e-mail will be deleted.
The legal basis for the processing is either that processing is necessary in order to take steps prior to entering into a contract with you, or that the processing is necessary for the purposes of legitimate interests pursued by us. The personal data of applicants who are not hired, is processed for as long as necessary in order to fulfil the recruitment process, or otherwise in accordance with a given consent. The Noreco Group entity that is related to the recruitment process, will be the controller for such processing.
2. Sharing of personal data with third parties
We do not sell or disclose your personal data to companies outside of the Noreco Group. We may use third party data processors to process personal data on our behalf, for example when delivering an IT service to us. We have entered into data processing agreements with our data processors in order to ensure information security.
Our processing of personal data is done within the EU / EEA area.
3. How long we keep your data
We retain your personal data for as long as it is necessary to complete the purpose of the processing, or otherwise for as long as it is required according to applicable law.
We will delete personal data which are no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which they were collected or otherwise processed. For example, if you withdraw your consent to receive press releases from us, we will delete your e-mail address. Find more information about the different processing activities under section 1 above.
4. Your rights
You have the right to request access to your personal data and receive a copy of the information. You also have the right to request that Noreco correct any information you believe is inaccurate and that we complete information you believe is incomplete. Under certain conditions, you have the right to request erasure of your personal data. Furthermore, you may have the right to restrict our processing and to object to our processing of personal data. You also have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to transmit those data to another controller.
